  • Ebisu Shrine, front torri

    The main shrine through the torii gate at the main entrance. Notice the bowl below Ebisu's face on the torri gate into which visitors can flick coins to get good luck.

    A sub-shrine called Komatsu Tenmangū, which is dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, a scholar and politician who became deified as the god of learning, writing, and scholarship.

    The main shrine enshrining the Emperor Sutoku, the Shinto god Ōmononushi no Kami and Prince Yorimasa Minamoto.

  • Yasui-Konpira-gu, stone ema

    Climbing through this large stone covered in the written prayers of devotees is part of the ceremony or ridding yourself of bad ties.
